Letters in the rain

He sits cross-legged in the middle of a rain-soaked street — charcoal blazer, black turtleneck, utterly out of place and completely at home — surrounded by scattered old letters going soft in the downpour. Shop lights blur behind him; umbrellas bob past; nobody stops, because in this city everyone has somewhere to be except him.

The letters are the story. Someone wrote them, someone kept them, and now they're dissolving into the wet asphalt while he sits among them like a man at the scene of his own memories. He doesn't gather them up. Some things you let the rain take.

Formal wear, formless grief

The blazer-and-turtleneck against the chaos of a monsoon street is a deliberate collision — order meeting weather, composure meeting collapse. It's the visual equivalent of crying in a suit: the dignity makes the vulnerability hit harder.
