Neon Rain on Platform 4

Some places only come alive after dark, and some only come alive in the rain — Platform 4 does both at once. Pink and cyan neon spills across the wet concrete while the storm hammers the roof, and under one black umbrella two people sit impossibly close, watching the tracks disappear into the downpour. He wears a maroon kurta with a cream churidar, rain-freckled hair lifted by the wind; she is wrapped in a pastel salwar-kameez, her dupatta pulled over her head like a veil against the weather. His arm rests around her shoulders, a hand resting on her arm, and the umbrella does its best.
