The Story Behind This Image
His Old Guitar, Untouched
His old guitar resting untouched beside him on the cold dark floor — some silences are instruments too, kept in their cases, waiting for the hand that knows them.
He stands at a rain-streaked window in a beige trench coat over dark layers, his side part neat, his hand on the glass, looking out at a stormy beach at dusk, the rain running down in silver threads. The moon breaks through the cloud behind the rain, and the sea answers in grey.
Fragile, because an untouched guitar is a question left open. Will it be played again? The man at the window does not answer yet. He only stands, and listens, and lets the storm do the talking for a while longer.
