The Story Behind This Image
The Candlelight Dinner That Ran Away
The surprise candlelight dinner on the terrace was all set — fairy lights, the good plates, the playlist. Then the sky opened, and the terrace became a swimming pool, and the candles became a memory. So they did the only sensible thing: they ran. Through the rain-soaked city street, toward each other, laughing, hoodies plastered, the moon doing its best through the storm clouds.
He wears the black oversized hoodie and dark jeans; she the grey hoodie and leggings, ponytail whipping in the wind. The dinner is ruined. The evening is perfect. Somewhere behind them, the fairy lights are short-circuiting in the most romantic way possible.
Tender, the prompt says. Timeless romance. And the best candlelight dinners, it turns out, are the ones you have to run through the rain to earn.
- Pose: Running toward each other mid-street, laughing, rain-soaked
